From 3rd until 5th of May 2012 the cultural organization STADTWERKSTATT Linz arranges together with local and national partners the international festival TREFFPUNKT.AFRIKA#2. It will partly be held at a ship (the MS Schönbrunn) on the bank of the danube. The focus of the festival lies on a two-day Symposium with the topic „Survival of the Hippest? - Urban Art and Culture in Africa“

The lectures will be accompanied by Filmscreenings, a Concert and DJ Nightline with musicians from Ghana, Zimbabwe, Côte d'Ivoir, France, Germany and Austria and an International Soccer Tournament.

Im Rahmen von Treffpunkt.Afrika#2 begibt sich Richie Herbst auf eine Soundtour durch verschiedene Stimmungen und wird uns jede Menge Musik des nördlichen und östlichen Teils des afrikanischen Kontinents präsentieren! Von Freejazz bis Hiphop! Von den 70ern bis in die 10er!

Richie Herbst, geboren 1976 in OÖ, ist Mitbetreiber des Labels Interstellar Records und Dilemma Records, Radiomoderator bei Radio Fro, Mitglied der Improvisationskapelle Regolith und immer wieder auftauchender DJ bei Events wie Ars Electronica Festival, Wiener Festwochen, Crossing Europe Filmfestival oder lieber noch in Clubs wie KAPU & Stwst Linz, Rhiz Wien, P.M.K. Ibk, Sub Graz.
