Vom 3. bis 5. Mai 2012 wird im Zentrum von Linz in den Räumlichkeiten der Stadtwerkstatt, auf einem Schiff - der MS Schönbrunn, sowie auf dem AEC Deck das TREFFPUNKT.AFRIKA#2 Festival stattfinden. Im Zentrum des internationalen Festivals steht ein zweitägiges Symposium, das am 4. und 5. Mai 2012 zum Thema „Survival of the Hippest? - Urban Art and Culture in Africa“ statt finden wird. Es wird sowohl den interkulturellen Austausch als auch Projektpräsentationen beinhalten. Neben dem Symposiun gibt es an den jeweiligen Abenden Filmscreenings und eine Konzert und DJ-Nightline mit MusikerInnen aus Ghana, Zimbabwe, Côte d'Ivoir, Frankreich, Deutschland und Österreich, sowie ein Interkontinentales Streetsoccer Turnier.
